Saladang opened its doors in 1993. The founder, Dang, wanted to create a meeting spot for people in the neighborhood to enjoy traditional Central Thai food. Combining her name with the Thai word “sala”, which means meeting place, she established the restaurant as her meeting spot. Dang incorporated traditional Thai garments into the restaurant decor, along with Thai art.
Many Thai restaurants have similar dishes, however Saladang’s specialties are not common in other restaurant. They include the Crab Pot, Gold Pouch and Stuffed Chicken Wings.
In late 2015, Saladang was bought by another family. Their goal is to continue Dang’s legacy by providing fresh and quality Thai food in a casual setting.
Where can I park?
We have a parking lot we share with Saladang Garden and another store.
Is there a corkage fee?
Yes, $15.00 per 750ml bottle.
Can I make reservations?
Yes. However, only for parties from 6 to 14 people.
Are you kid-friendly?
We have high chairs but don't have a kids' menu.
Can the restaurant accommodate different food allergies?
Please alert your server to any allergies prior to ordering. Some ingredients may be omitted; however, for dishes that are marinated and slow-cooked cannot be modified. Our kitchen does handle shellfish, peanuts, gluten, chile, and various herbs, and spices.
What is the delivery and take-out policy?
At this moment we don't deliver. Our last call for takeout is 30 minutes prior to closing time. Saladang doesn't use Eat24 for online ordering.
Does Saladang cater events?
No, not at this time.
Can I bring my pet?
We don't allow pets in the restaurant, aside from service animals.
